THE STORY BEHIND THE DESIGN
On 4 June 2015, eighteen soldiers of the 6th Battalion, The Dogra Regiment were killed in an ambush on a convoy in Chandel district, Manipur — among the heaviest single-incident losses the Indian Army has suffered in the North East.
Five days later, on 9 June 2015, teams from 21 Para (Special Forces) crossed the frontier and struck insurgent camps inside Myanmar in the operation widely reported as Hot Pursuit. Troops were inserted and extracted by helicopter; no Indian fatalities were reported.
The design records that account as published in the public domain. It is an independent tribute and carries no official sanction.
