Step 1: Measure your keyboard

Measure the width of your keyboard, then add about 30 cm for mouse movement. That gives you the smallest mat that will feel comfortable. Most people with a full-size keyboard land on the L size, while a compact 60% keyboard sits happily on the M.

Step 2: Check your desk width

If your desk is 120 cm wide or more, the XL or XXL is usually the better fit. On a narrower desk, the L normally leaves room for a lamp, a notebook or a laptop stand without the mat hanging over the edge.

• Office work with a full keyboard and mouse: L
