Diwali Gift Ideas 2026: Useful Desk Gifts Under ₹1,000 for Colleagues, Friends and Family

Looking for a Diwali gift that people will actually use? Sweets get eaten in a day and most gift hampers end up in a cupboard. A desk mat sits on someone’s desk every day for years, and it makes their workspace look better from the first minute. On DeskCart, original-design desk mats start at ₹899, and during the festive offer the same mat costs ₹827 with code FESTIVE26.

Diwali is on Sunday, 8 November 2026. Delivery takes 4–7 working days across India, so order by Friday, 30 October to get your gifts before Diwali.

Why a desk mat makes a good Diwali gift

• It gets used every day. Anyone who works, studies or games at a desk will use it, at home or in the office.
• It feels personal. You pick a design that suits them: Indian art, anime, marble, nature or a clean office look.
• It fits most budgets. Prices run from ₹899 (M) to ₹1,699 (XXL), with free delivery across India.
• It’s easy to send. Enter their address at checkout and it goes straight to them.

Diwali gifts under ₹1,000

The M (28×60 cm) and L (30×80 cm) sizes are both under ₹1,000, and they get cheaper with the festive offer. L is the safest choice if you don’t know the size of their desk: it fits a keyboard and mouse on almost any desk.

Diwali gifts with Indian art

For parents, relatives or anyone who loves traditional art, these designs bring a festive feel to the desk all year:

• Krishna Pattachitra: Odisha’s Pattachitra painting style with Lord Krishna. Also available in XXL.
• Konark Heritage Wheel: the famous wheel of the Sun Temple.
• Sambalpuri Royal Blue and Sambalpuri Heritage Gold: inspired by Sambalpuri textile patterns.
• Tribal Rhythm: Warli-style folk-art figures.
• Incredible Odisha: Odisha’s culture and landmarks in one design.

Diwali gifts for colleagues and your team

For office gifting, choose clean and motivating designs that suit any desk. Ascend Plum, Ascend Amber, Monochrome Waves, Sunset Stripe Classic and Swirl Motion Classic all work well in an office.

Buying for more than one person? The multi-buy saving is applied automatically at checkout:

The multi-buy saving and coupon codes like FESTIVE26 can’t be combined; you get whichever applies to your order. Gifting a whole team? See our corporate desk mats page.

Diwali gifts for gamers and anime fans

Gamers usually want a bigger mat, so go for XL (42×90 cm) if you can. Popular picks: Crimson Ronin (our best seller), Lightning Ninja, Halo Samurai, Fuji Wanderer, Dragon’s Vigil and Celestial Nebula.

Diwali gifts for her, for him, or for anyone who loves a calm desk

Soft, elegant designs work for almost anyone: Blush Marble Veins, Ivory Gold Marble, Oceanic Sapphire, Koi Pond, Kyoto Autumn Garden and Emerald Peacock. For someone who likes cute things, try Chill Panda or Bamboo Buddy.

When to order for Diwali delivery

Delivery takes 4–7 working days (Sundays not counted). Couriers are busy in Diwali week, so ordering a few days early is the safest choice.
